Netflix has a new documentary series in the works, in what the streamer is calling a 'docuseries event'. Could this be one of the best Netflix shows for documentary fans?

Unknown is a four-parter that explores unknown or untold stories of the real world, with the synopsis promising that the series "pushes the boundaries of knowledge" and "unlocks the secrets of our world".

The first entry of Unknown, subtitled The Lost Pyramid, releases on Monday, July 3. The three subsequent documentaries are called Killer Robots, Cave of Bones and Cosmic Time Machine, will come out each subsequent Monday.

Legendary snowboarder Shaun White has seen his fair share of documentaries, and despite its name The Last Run definitely won't be the last, but it could be his most personal so far.

Focusing on White's training for the 2022 Winter Olympics, which he announced would be his last competition, The Last Run also explores how White became the boarder he is, including his childhood and the congenital heart defect he was born with. For fans of White, snowboarding or winter sports in general, it'll be one to watch.

Shaun White: The Last Run is a four-part documentary, and the entire run will land on Max on Thursday, July 6.

The Horror of Dolores Roach, based on a podcast of the same name but also inspired by the story of Sweeney Todd, follows the titular character who's released from prison and starts a massage parlor but finds her economic situation pushes her to some drastic acts.

If there's one thing more horrifying than a down-on-her-luck ex-con masseuse, it's a messy home, and that's something Hack My Home seeks to address.

This renovation show focuses on families who don't have enough space in their home, but can't afford to move or extend the property. Instead, a team of experts will descend upon the place and... well, hack the home, to get more space.

If you're a fan of home renovation shows, you'll be able to see the entirety of Hack My Home on Netflix when it lands on Friday, July 7.

If you like a good sordid documentary, you're in the right place.

Ashley Madison was a website to help married people have affairs, which seems sordid enough already, but in 2015 a data breach and ransom laid bare the identity of many of the site's users.

The Ashley Madison Affair promises to explore the website, the data breach and the horrifying consequences that many people faced for having their dirty laundry aired. The first episode hits Hulu on Friday, July 7, and the other two parts land four days later.
